LAYTON -- Crews are working to repair a gas line that was hit in Layton this morning.

It's happening at 2195 N. University Park Blvd. Officials say a construction crew hit a four-inch natural gas line and gas is spraying into the air. It is expected to take approximately two hours to dissipate the gas in the line.

Questar says four homes and four businesses east of the leak are evacuated while crews work on the problem.

Davis Hospital was not included in the evacuation. People at the hospital reported smells of natural gas, but crews have cleared the facility.

More details will be posted as they become available.
