Jimmer Fredette talks about book, marriage

SALT LAKE CITY -- BYU legend and Sacramento Kings guard Jimmer Fredette is writing his own headlines this NBA off-season.
Not only did he marry his long-time girlfriend Whitney, but a book about his life has been published. It's called "The Contract," and was written by sports columnist Pat Forde.
"The Contract" does not refer to the multi-million dollar deal Fredette signed with Sacramento, but the "contract" his brother drew up and made him sign almost six years ago. It committed him to doing whatever it would take to make the NBA.
The book revolves around Fredette's relationship with his older brother TJ, who deals with a debilitating vestibular disorder which affects his equilibrium and makes everyday life difficult. Forde writes "to know Jimmer, you must know TJ."
During an interview with KSL Sports Director Tom Kirkland, Jimmer also spoke about confidence.
"You have to have the confidence that it's going to go in," Fredette said. "It's a gift you have. It's not something that you can work on necessarily all that much. It's more of a sense thing. A gift. I was very blessed in that category."
